Didn't finish-which if you know me is saying a lot because I finish books even if I don't like them. I listened to 6 of this 17 hour audio book and then I found myself dreading going walking because I didn't like my book, so I fast forwarded it to the end. The reader was great. I know a book is good when I read while my kids are awake, and I carried this book everywhere with me! This was such a well-written book with tons of super well-developed characters--and kudos that 2 Americans wrote it! It tells the story of an American who falls in love with the Prince of Wales, but there are a lot of similarities to Kate and Will. You think that would make it super cheesy, but it is actually a super sweet love story with lots of twists and turns along the way. The dialogue is

I enjoyed this one bunches, and it was very addictive but man was it long. The audio book was more than 17 hours, which seemed to drag on, even as I was itching to know what happened next. Couldn't help but feel that it could have benefited from some paring down. I found the main character very engaging and sympathetic, though, and I did enjoy listening to her even for that many hours.

Gets an extra star for being so long yet so difficult to put down. I think what kept me turning the pages was wondering just how true to life this novel was compared to Prince William and Princess Kate's lives, on who this story is clearly based.
