Not sure how this wasn't already in my list of read books. But I heart it so much that this time I listened to it on cd. Still loved it the second time.
Of course, it doesn't hurt that Wil Wheaton is the narrator. He did a great job and adds even more geek cred.
I made the mistake of listening to part of it with my son in the car. He was instantly hooked and insisted I only listen to it when he could as well. We brought the last two discs inside and listened to them instead of watching a movie. G ...more

Audible -- Will Wheaton (enough said)
I absolutely fell in love with this book and I didn't want it to end. Maybe it was because it reminded me of my childhood in the 80s, or Stand by Me listening to Will Wheaton all day, but I was so engaged in this book.... and I discovered you can speed up the reading on Audible. A win-win.
Went to see the movie a few days after I finished and was so thoroughly disappointed that the film is nothing like the book. ...more

I liked it, but there were almost too many eighties references. Started slow, but then the pace picked up.

I liked this book, but I felt it was slow in the beginning. I also did not like the ending, it felt rushed and cut short.
For me, some parts were over described.
