I listened to this book on audio, and I'd give it a 3.5 stars, if I could.

I liked the conceit - the second-person narrative - and I thought it was especially effective because I am a woman. I wonder how men, either heterosexual or gay, would experience this book.

The story was pretty grounded in reality and was realistically absurd, but then it got a little by more absurd and I thought I was stuck in a Cary Grant thriller or something. I would have written the conclusion differently, but this end

I really enjoyed this book. It was interesting to read about Morocco. I know some people did not like the second person point of view but I liked it.

Written in the second-person, which I find tiresome.

A well woven story about a woman trying to rebuild her life after tragedy. Compelling. Strange.

The confused state of the MC lends to the storytelling.

I really enjoyed this book, which was written in a style that reminded me of the Choose Your Own Adventure books I read as a kid (although in this story, you don't get to choose your adventure). Vida did a fantastic job keeping this book light and funny on the surface, yet with darker undertones that were subtly hinted at as the novel progressed. ...more
