I'd been meaning to read Furiously Happy for quite some time now, at the recommendation of several of my friends. I started it once, but didn't get far. I just wasn't in the mood. The second time around I enjoyed it more, especially when I was able to see past the zaniness and humor to the honest discussions about mental (and physical) illness. This could be either "a book by someone you admire" or "a book by a person with a disability." I wish there was a category for "book with a glittery taxidermied raccoon with jazz hands on the cover" but I guess that is, unfortunately, a pretty narrow category. I love Jenny Lawson for many reasons but if I have to pick 2 they would be 1) she is hilariously random and 2) through sharing her story of living with mental illness she has helped people who have thought that ending their own lives was t
