Wow---intense, dystopia, and brings up a lot to think about in terms of war. Timely given the over 10 years of war our county has seen and is seeing. Well worth reading the other two books to get to this. I started to read some reviews here and elsewhere on line, and it seemed many were unhappy with this book. This was my least favorite of the books in The Hunger Games series. It was much longer than it needed to be, and I found Katniss to be very annoying. "I love Peeta, but he's unavailable right now, so let me make out with Gale." I hated how so much of the book focused on this weird love triangle, especially when Panem is falling apart. Focus, Katniss, Focus!

The last book in the Hunger Games series was pretty good - but it got a little too "war-y" for me in the middle. A little too much fighting...and the ending seemed a little sudden as well. All in all, i really liked this series and i would recommend it.

Loved the series! This book however left me depressed. I think of the series, the first was my favorite, then the 2nd.... But I couldn't put any of them down... much to the demise of my house LOL!
