A brief review:
1) this book really made me want to go to Savannah. The first half of the book is a little languid in its set up and description of the city, but in a good way? I could really get a feel for its isolation and quiet beauty with all this mystery underneath.
2) the trial was boring; the story is more compelling when it focuses on Savannah rather than Williams specifically. Williams isn’t really a sympathetic figure, and I didn’t care much about how much money he spent or all his fancy ...more
