Laugh-out-loud funny send-up of Pride and Prejudice and of the life of a single girl. Since I was single at the time I read this, I was intimately familiar with the foolish choices we girls sometimes make out of loneliness and fear. The difference is that Fielding writes about it in a way that makes you feel like you're not alone anymore. Now that I have my Mark Darcy, I appreciate it all the more.

This was an immensely funny tale of a woman, a normal, ordinary woman. Helen Fielding is the mother of "chick Lit" and she set the bar high.
