This is such a fantastic book. So many elements of the world building are familiar and yet completely new. A world where the magical world is in the north, separated from the mundane world by a wall? Seen it - but not one where that mundane world is vaguely 1920s Britain, with nods to trench warfare and “modern” ‘20s tech.
