two things. it was better than i expected. i also absolutely despised the ending.
the writing impressed me - the quiet tone matched the somber decisions that need to be made.
anna was confusing for a long while. i was very irritated with sara, though i do understand. i think brian and jesse were the most honest in the book, and i appreciated it. i could have done without campbell and julia.

I liked this book so much better than "The Pact"!! So many different stories and opinions, so many questions that you kept asking yourself, so much hidden until the end. I thought the end was a little "easy" but as heart-wrenching as I expected. Really interesting topic told in a great way. Glad I gave it a shot. It was great to see that these parents stayed true to each other and so together through it all, when most stories show parents breaking up in the throws of tragedy.

I learned a lot about this book on how a family faces cancer. I'm not sure if this is the normal way, but it was a painful realization that cancer effects much more than just one body. The whole family, and especially, Anna suffered through this horrible disease.
