I don't know why I never thought to read J.M. Barrie's "Peter Pan" before now. I absolutely love the Disney movie, and have a real love for Peter & Wendy as portrayed in the movie, so maybe I've been hesitant because of that. When I went to Disneyland earlier this year, my 8 year old daughter and I asked Princess Belle what her favorite book in the Beast's library was and while she seemed caught off guard by the question at first, then her eyes lit up and she quickly responded "Peter Pan by J.M.

First of all, I have to say, Disney did it better. I had no idea Peter Pan would be so unlikable! He is constantly described as a cocky, arrogant boy who cares about no one but himself. I see now where the writers of Once Upon a Time got the idea to make Peter Pan a villain...that wasn't as far-fetched as people made it out to be. I loved this book as a child. I wanted Peter to come and take me away. I will definitely share it with my children too.
I enjoyed listening to the audiobook, especially since I had trouble getting into the story while reading the print version.
it was good...i could see the play with mary martin running through my head as the audio book was playing
