A dear friend and I started the Artist Way journey twelve weeks ago as a way to provide focus on something creative during this global pandemic. We followed this book and met each week to discuss our week just finishing yesterday. We each experienced a different outcome however both of us are very pleased to have done this. There were quite a few ideas I took away from Cameron's book. I didn't find all of the references to the 12 Step Program necessary but I took what worked for me and left the rest. I would also caution other readers that, although Cameron says you can substitute whatever you believe in for "God," there is a great deal of God talk throughout the book, especially the later chapters. Some readers might have a difficult time with this and for this reason might want to give this book a pass. ...more

I am working through this book, again, as part of my newest foray into doing the The Artists Way, again. I'll be using this one, the Artist's Way Datebook, the Artist's Way Morning Pages, and the The Artist's Way Workbook.
