Pretty blown away after finally reading this. Aside from some incidental sexism and homophobia, this book hasn't aged a bit in my opinion. In fact, in the wake of all the awful terrorist atrocities we've experienced in the last decade and a half, and especially those still fresh from the last year, it feels like this could have been written today.
The Two Minutes Hate made me think of nothing so much as Fox News, with last year's "kill them all" speech particularly evoked in my mind.

I understand why people look to this book as a classic - there are so many things to think about, especially with regard to the way our world runs now. However, I felt that there were many more salient details to serve as warnings for our world, beyond the ever-mentioned Big Brother.
