What Members Thought
When you dream and some parts of the dream are scary and parts are funny or interesting. Some dreams start out almost enchanted and then turn scary. That is how this book is. I would not call it horror yet parts of it seem right out of a horror novel. If a book can be darkly enchanting then this would be it.
Not really my style but nothing wrong with this story.
Not my kind of book
I loved this book! Looking at the cover and reading the book jacket, I was expecting something along the lines of "The Lovely Bones." (Which was well written, but I'm not up for another book on that subject matter if I can avoid it!). Instead this was a fantastical, spooky, we'll developed and well written fairy tale of sorts. I drove to the bus stop, my daughter got on the bus, then I sat in the car for 30 minutes! Thoroughly enjoyable!

UPDATE: Less than six months later, I saw this book on my Read shelf and thought, "Hangon, I read that?" It was that forgettable. Seriously, pass on this one.

I like the way this is written and I loved Neil Gaiman as an audiobook reader. The overall story is dark, but it was hard to put down.
This was an interesting read and entertaining but I wouldn't rave about it or put it in any top 10 lists.
