What Members Thought

Neil Gaiman, in my opinion, never disappoints, and The Ocean at the End of the the Lane is no exception. Another dark magical childhood tale; a creative and engaging story. I listened to this one so bonus points for the marvelous voice of Gaiman, who truly has the BEST voice and accent. I could listen to him all day.

I never know how to classify Neil Gaiman's books (fantasy, speculative, sci-fi?) but I generally love all of them. Neil is a master storyteller.

Mystical

I loved this book! Looking at the cover and reading the book jacket, I was expecting something along the lines of "The Lovely Bones." (Which was well written, but I'm not up for another book on that subject matter if I can avoid it!). Instead this was a fantastical, spooky, we'll developed and well written fairy tale of sorts. I drove to the bus stop, my daughter got on the bus, then I sat in the car for 30 minutes! Thoroughly enjoyable!
