I just re-read this book about a utopian - or is it really? - future, in which Huxley challenges the reader to consider the true price of constant, pure, true(?) happiness. It made me stop and appreciate the hardships, passions, disappointments and depressions of everyday life that make our happy moments truly shine and our independence real. Thank goodness we haven't yet figured out the perfectly functioning society... ...more
