[Review from 2004.] Dystopian books bother me; I feel like they're trying to teach me a lesson I already know. Like they create a horrific future solely so they can show how horrific it is. (See also 1984 & Fahrenheit 451.) Brave New World is clever, and an easy read, but I'm left a little unsure as to what message I'm supposed to take away from it: don't try to make the world a better place, 'cause it's futile?
