Book club choice for November 2012. I enjoyed this book - it's an engaging page turner, and I looked forward to reading it every evening. I even stayed up far too late last night to finish it (yes, I regret that this morning! ). And what a disappointing ending it was! The book was clearly leading up to a big Reveal, a big Twist, but ... I saw this train coming from MILES away. I was hoping there would be yet another surprise at the end that would startle me, but ... no. It was cheesy and trite. ...more

Loved this!! This book was selected for a little facebook book club I was invited to join by a friend! We select a book then discuss it on the group page. Kinda fun, huh? Before I Go To Sleep is easily one of the best books of the summer, and I don’t throw around the term "best" lightly.

How is it possible to live without knowing these things? By the time I got to the beginning of her journal, I was hooked for sure. I found this severe case of amnesia fascinating.

There’s something compelling about a boo

Christine wakes up every morning next to a man she can't remember who says he is her husband Ben, and who tells her that she had an accident twenty years ago which caused her to lose her memory. Ben's loving patience calms her fears and lessens her anxiety, as every day she struggles to remember who she is and what has happened to her. When Dr. Nash, a neuropsychologist who has read about her case and is interested in trying to help her, tracks her down they start meeting regularly and gradually ...more

It must have been decent because I read it in one sitting.

I have to admit, the whole time I was reading it, all I could think was, "What the hell is this guy's motive?"

And also I thought a lot of 50 First Dates.

I thought the premise was interesting, but the execution did not stand up for me. And then it become predictable.
