Bill Bryson is funny! This book was recommended to me years ago, and it's just been sitting on my bookshelf waiting to be read. Luckily, this Popsugar Reading Challenge I've been doing was the perfect excuse to finally get around to reading it! I will NEVER do anything like hike the Appalachian Trail, but I'm really glad that a few out-of-shape, middle-aged men did and wrote about it for my entertainment :)

This filled emotional gaps I didn't know I missed feeling. Laughter, lightheartedness and exploring the love and beautiful of nature. Then, learning and understanding how our natural resources like forrests and these trails continue to be used by the government and ourselves for whatever purposes and whims we need at that moment. I surely wouldn't be able to hike like this but would like to imagine.
