It's quite engaging, but in my opinion, a bit too long, so the ending feels dragging instead of making a climax. Full of British wit and sarcastic humor (and weird characters), this book actually delivered important messages about immigration, race, discrimination, and family roots and history. All the tangled webs of Bangladesh family, British history, Jamaican faith and all small details about them remind me a bit of the packed stories written in Salman Rushdie's style.
