I saw the movie before picking up Capote's novella. Where Holly from the movie is adorable from the get-go, the Holly penned by Capote is much darker as a character.
Holly Golightly is quirky and a "real phony". She is foul-mouthed and mean-streaked. In short, she's very different from Audrey Hepburn's Holly.
