A strange but enjoyable little classic. I can’t remember now why I gave it 3 stars, but I think it was because Holly didn’t have enough agency (despite appearing to) and there were too many loose ends. Despite this, Capote deserves his reputation as a stylist.

Though I have seen the movie many times, I had not previously read the novella. It was interesting seeing how they differ, particularly the ending. Now, if I could only get "Moon River" out of my head . . . ...more
