I resisted this one for quite a while, but I'm glad I picked it up. It was a fairly quick read, but very engrossing, and I can't wait to find the second book and continue the story.

American Idol, Survivor and Harry Potter combined with a dystopian twist: the competitors are teens and instead of getting kicked off the island, game is played to the death. Excellent story for teens, both boys and girls will enjoy this exciting series. I know I can't wait for the next book in the series to be released.

at the beginning i thought it dragged...towards the end i was sitting in my car in the driveway just to hear a little bit more of the story before i went inside...eagerly waiting for #2 to come in for me
Great YA book that i read as a recommendation from one of my 5th graders. A brutal topic but the author does a fantastic job in her writing.
Holy crap! This book is supposed to be for kids? Amazing read.
Contains spoilers I'm not sure what to say about it. I think it was well written in some ways, but very predictable. I don't plan to read the rest because I'm really tired of characters that are clueless when others are romantically interested in them, and that cluelessness leads to plot points.

Nice, fast, entertaining read. Just a little too predictable and too similar to other stories I've read in the past.
