I couldn't quite get past the author's complete lack of numericity, economics, or politics. The premise is that 3,000 people are "raptured" whilst everyone else is left behind. But 3,000 is nothing. We've just been through a pandemic where over 500,000 people died and loads of people in the US don't know a single person who died and still don't think COVID is dangerous. So to read that 3,000 people disappeared is more a human interest story about a fringe group than something that would shut dow

This book was fine. It doesn't need a sequel. I don't know why it's going to have one. I really liked Harp. Vivian herself was boring. (view spoiler) Way interesting and fun setup, a just fine story that is far from terrible but not super remarkable.
