I enjoyed this way more than I expected. Most of the twists and character reveals were very obvious and could be seen the first chapter the character appeared, but it was a fun read, and it was nice to read a period piece that had people of color in it. Y'know, because they actually existed in all parts of history, not just specific moments when white people couldn't ignore them. You could read Ada as a sort of grown up Sara Crewe. ...more

Sope opera sequence story of ladies and servants, quite interesting, the characters are a little flat though and it ends abruptly, Some mild content may not be suitable for all readers.
