I enjoyed this book a lot. I had just finished reading something incredibly boring that was very slow reading. This light read was a great break for me. I always found Kathy Griffin extremely annoying until I started watching My Life on the D List which I love. If I wasn't already a convert, this book would have converted me to her side. I thought it was a great memoir that balanced covering the tough things she has gone through while also giving you the humor and laughs you would expect from he

I should probably give this 3 stars but I did enjoy most of it. The only part that makes me want to deduct some stars is that horribly boring chapter of e-mails between her and Steve Wozniak. I can't for the life of me understand why she included that, especially near the end of the book, so you're left remembering the least entertaining part of the book. She included a decent chapter at the end about how Paris Hilton is a moron, though. That helped... Seriously, though, this book was more enjoy

kathy, i freaking love you. this book doesn't get five stars because i wanted more. it felt a bit like an outline. also, i don't think i can get the d-list on dvd to watch the earlier seasons again, and i can't deal with that.
but man, she's funny. and true to what i love most about her: she never pretends to be someone other than who she is. she knows she's not the prettiest or smartest or anything, but she's accepted herself, and that's awesome.

Im not crazy about swearing and Kathy does a lot of it. That aside, the book was a good read and kept me turning pages. I liked learning about her struggles to become successful in the world of comedy. Something surprising (or not if you watch her show) is how very close she is to her parents, that she's never done drugs and she doesnt drink. I guess she makes up for it by being vulgar. That being said, I like the book, Im a sucker for a memoir. Even from a self proclaimed D-lister.

Kathy Griffin told Jesus to suck it. Who else can get away with something like that? I generally don't like memoirs, because I think people tend to gloss over the bad times, but KG definitely does not, and I respect her more for it. Definitely a read for those who like Kathy's style of humor--she changes nothing in this book!
