What Members Thought
Based on the average ratings of this book, I must have missed something! I read this with my 9 year old daughter as part of a mother-daughter book club. It took us from July to September to get through it, so maybe if we were able to commit the time to read it over a shorter span, I would’ve liked it more because I would’ve remembered more details? Okay, I hated animal stories as a kid and I still don't love them. This story was rather dull until it got to the rats and their military-esque plans. That was cute. But I could have done without.
