Even though I’m a huge Harry Potter fan, this history of Quidditch didn’t especially thrill me. Of course, I was reading a book about Quidditch for the reading challenge prompt, “read a book involving sports.” That probably says more about me than it says about this book.
The depth and breadth of J.K. Rowling’s world building continues to astound me. If the Quidditch scenes were your favorite parts of the Harry Potter books, then this book is for you!

It was 2000 when I first read Harry Potter. My friend Super Suz recommended the series to me but I put off reading it for ages. I wasn’t into reading much young adult stuff back then and my argument for not reading them was that I wasn’t interested in reading children’s book. How book-snobbish of me.

Very lightweight. Kind of cute, but so unmemorable that a few years later I can't even remember what Rowling said in it. it's a fun piece of VERY light reading as a companion to the HP series, and easier reading for kids who like the series. But not quite what I was hoping for, compared to the rest of Rowling's writing.

Audiobooks's 2011:
I actually really enjoyed listening to this one. There are so many well crafted details and back story pieces. I love the historical documentary list to the whole thing. The way it was old, and then all the way up into modern.
