When reading nonfiction about historical events, I absorb it much better when there is a focus on real people who have been effected by the events. The parts of this book that focused on Dalia and Bashir and the connection that they made were incredibly moving and compelling. The parts that were long explanations of the history of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict were a little bit overwhelming for me. I did learn a lot, but definitely didn't absorb it all.
