This book is un-put down-able! I wanted to just read and read and read and find out just exactly what happened to the Day family on that cold, lonely night in January.
Libby is not a likeable character. She's lazy and she steals. But for some reason I got inside her head and I saw how she grew up and what she was raised in and how she ended up being dedicated to finding justice.

3.5 stars. I expected it to be as glib, disappointing, and excessively disturbing as Gone Girl, but I was pleasantly surprised. The language was vibrant, the writing was solid, and the story was engaging - though it felt a bit superficial and wrapped up a little too neatly.

Although I love Gillian Flynn's work, this was not my favorite. While her other books are easy to get lost in because they feel so real, I did not find this story as believable. Just couldn't get into it overall.
