Libby is not a likable character at all. She's bitter, irresponsible, rude, and just plain mean. When you consider what she went through at the age of seven, however, it makes sense. Her two sisters and mother were brutally killed, and she's been sure her brother did it for the last twenty-five years. A Fun Read

I really needed a book I could just escape into — but still be really well written. This was that book. Libby was such a great character, I loved her dialogue & moral wrestling. Actually all the characters were really well written, and I enjoyed reading the book immensely. I left out the fifth star only because this wasn’t necessarily a profound book, just a fun one.

Dark and twisted, but definitely a good read. Not quite as engrossing as Gone Girl, but still an excellent story.

An interesting read. Not my usual style, but it was entertaining and at the same time, very dark and creepy.

Wow. So disturbing.
Gillian Flynn's writing is compelling and captivating. But, of her three books I've read, this strikes me as the most difficult and upsetting.
