I became hooked on the Sookie Stackhouse series from the beginning and read each of them as soon as possible after publication. I especially enjoyed this one, where Sookie rescues an amnesiac Eric Northman -- he's so sweet when he has amnesia! If you have only seen the television series True Blood (which I had to stop watching because it became too much for me) you have missed some of the best parts of the stories, particularly Harris's writing which is always excellent.
