So thankful I'm finally done with this book. It was SO dull! None of the characters were interesting, and the reveals were either too small to matter or too obvious to be interesting.
Ky turned into a I Know What Is Best jerk, Cassia became extremely one dimensional, and the other characters just felt like props.
Let me summarize: Cassia chases after Ky, Cassia runs through, over, and into a few canyons, Cassia finds Ky! They hug. Ky, Cassia, and some other people run through, over, and into some ...more

i hate the love triangle. i really do. i think the same story could have been told without the xander/ky/cassia matching mishap. i mean, what about the abberations and anomalies - they obviously have relationships without getting Matched, so what does that mean?
that said, i found this installment more . . . emotional. more moving. indie and eli, vick. hunter. the boy with the cavern. it didn't move that quickly, but i felt a lot more for the characters this time around - except, interestingly, c ...more

There were fewer surprises in this book than in Matched, but it's still got a solid story, and the chair-clutching tension in the first third of the book balances out the relative lack of suspense toward the end. Definitely worth reading for anyone who enjoyed the first book.

Much better than I remember MATCHED being. Also, I don't know if this was as prevalent in the first book or if I'm only noticing now because I'm in library school, but I love how much of some of the threads of the story have to do with the importance of preservation of culture and of libraries and archives. Yaaaay library science!

I really feel like Cassia grew up in this one. I liked this better than the first, I am looking forward to how this series turns out.

The readers were pretty good in this one which is why I gave it 3 stars, but I found the plot dragging a lot. Minimal action in my opinion and not an overly exciting ending. Probably won't read the last one.
