Where to start? Let's begin with the positive. The writing is just beautiful in this book. It evokes a sense of being right there with the story. Now the not-so-positive. This story was lacking lots of things, but mostly a story. I'm not a reader who needs a ton of action to enjoy a book, but this book really had nothing. Listened to the audio, which had to have immensely enriched the experience. Wonderful performance of a beautifully written book. The Anglophile in me is very satisfied.
