Three Wishes by Liane Moriarty. Sibling rivalry can cause strife between sisters so imagine the angst for triplets. Cat, Gemma and Lynn although similar in appearance are anything but identical in personality. Lynn's fastidiousness, Cat’s cynicism and Gemma’s feigned breeziness mask internal struggles. Told from outsiders’ perspectives, the story despite a tumultuous beginning fizzled out until sparks rekindled towards the end.

Quirky beach read. Perfect palate cleanser read during my vacation week. The book has entertaining characters centered around triplets (two identical, one fraternal) and their daily lives. This book isn't as polished or as socially conscious as the author's later works, but it was perfect for plan rides and porch sitting on vacation. If you haven't read this author before, you might start with one of her stronger novels like Big Little Lies or The Husband's Secret.
