Reading date approximate. I read this in my Minneapolis book club. I thought it was very well written and discussable. Never thought of it as a mystery until I saw it was up for an Anthony, maybe because it was rather "literary."

It’s doubtful any of the reviews on Goodreads links this book to Malcolm Gladwell’s most recent treatise, Talking to Strangers, but the fates construed that I happened to be reading this book and listening to the other simultaneously, and coincidentally, their main idea is one and the same—we can never truly know what another person is thinking.
