This was my least favorite of the three books. I felt completely as one with Thomas in The Maze Runner and still felt that connection, though at a reduced capacity, in The Scorch Trials. In this book, that connection was totally gone. I don't know if it was due to the wait between reading The Scorch Trials right when it was released, or was a result of the writing or story, but it took a lot away from my enjoyment.

Book three in the Maze Runner trilogy.
Thomas and several of the other Gladers have survived the Scorch Trials and made it to the safe haven. After spending weeks in solitary confinement, Thomas is offered his memories back. WICKED wants Thomas to join them in creating the cure that he and his friends have suffered so long to accomplish, but not all of the remaining Gladers are convinced that WICKED can be trusted. Especially since the promised cure hasn't been delivered.

I really liked this series. A lot! Great characters, great action, great drama. I'm glad I read this one quickly after finishing Scorch Trials. It was great to experience that continuity in the series. The ending left me wanting to know what happens next, yet it managed to be a fairly satisfying ending, too. There were a few questions hanging for me (maybe answered in the 4th book?) and I never bought into the Thomas/Brenda thing but overall I really enjoyed the series. Fun read!

I have mixed feelings about the Maze Runner trilogy. It was good, but not as good as some of the other dystopia books I've read. This last book left me feeling a little "meh" also. It was the weakest in the series, in my opinion.
