This book was an interesting account of what the author thinks happened to Chris based on accounts of people that he met along his journey and the diaries/notes he left behind.

I think Krakauer is a fantastic writer, and he really captures moods and places with words. I'd probably read anything he wrote. That said....
I kind of wanted to strangle McCandless. He seemed so arrogant and unwilling to listen to anyone's advice. Until I understood better the circumstances of his death, I just kept thinking "serves you right, you twit!"
