I am trying to figure out why I liked this book. First of all, I didn't know anything about the story or the movie which makes it interesting. Like the feeling you get when you are watching a movie and you have never seen the preview or been told/read anything about it. That is how I went into this. The story itself isn't really something that I relate to or find myself reading very often. I think what I enjoyed most about it was the way it was written. Very unusual.

I have read this book before, but not really until this second reading did I realize how brilliant this book is. Just couldn't get into this book, for some reason. (a gift from Jodie)

Wonderful read and highly recommended. While there were scenes that seemed longer than they should have been, it was really well done.
The best Ian McEwan book I have read - I haven't really enjoyed his other books, but I did enjoy this one.
