I am too old to really enjoy this novel, best read in the blush of youth. Too old to enjoy Amory Blaine's constant regard of his navel, too old to appreciate the years spent at Princeton, the elitism, the society. I also spent a lot of time (while reading) trying to decide if the same person who wrote this book could have written The Great Gatsby. In truth I finally decided that I wasn't sure.
