I went in with high hopes but came out disappointed. The most interesting thing I got from this book was learning what a paper town really is. I'm a bit confused about all the high ratings on this book.

I needed a 2-day read like Paper Towns. Even though it had a lot of parallels with Green's Looking for Alaska, I much preferred this one. I enjoyed the mystery aspect of it and the adventures and characters were a lot of fun. I was laughing out loud (much to the annoyance of my family trapped in the car with me) during the books' road trip chapters. I enjoyed this book a lot, and appreciated the quick engaging read.

I've read Looking for Alaska, The Fault in Our Stars, and now Paper Towns. This book is my favorite of the three. I found it to be funny and touching. I particularly liked seeing Orlando through Quentin's eyes (I used to live there) and the way Green used my favorite Whitman poem to get across the idea that, while we are all interconnected, we can never completely know each other.
