This is one of those books that I hated to see end; I am still with the characters, particularly the protagonist, Eilis,* who makes some choices throughout the book that are not always in her best interest, keeping me worried and crossing my fingers as the book progresses. This book is quiet, straightforward, touching, beautiful, just as it is. No high tension or overly dramatic scenes. Her new home - Brooklyn- offered so many new things, exciting but also created a big hole in her heart, especially when she heard a sad news from Ireland. Should she come back or stay? Where's her true home?
