I've never read this, and I'm glad I finally did. When I was a child, I clearly claimed this book which had been either my mother's or my Aunt June's. I wrote my name on the flyleaf in the front of the book, and then wrote Dear Jane in my neatest cursive in the back of the book. After claiming it, I kept it and never read it. What a shame. I loved this book when I was little and I still adore it! Anne of Green Gables is one of my favorite classics. I picked it for Isabelle to read in Mother/Daughter Book Club but I'm not sure she is loving it as much as I loved it. I loved it so much I cried at the end and I plan on re-reading the other books in the series and watching the mini series. I selected this as my pick for the 2018 PopSugar Ultimate Reading Challenge prompt "a book with your favorite color in the title." Since it was also one of the PBS Great American Read nominees that I hadn't read, I figured this was a good opportunity to knock another classic title off of that list at the same time!
