I wish the author had chosen to title the book something other then Loving Frank as I feel the book is much more about the character Mamah - a little known historical character - who in her own right was a strong and forceful person. The title itself undermines her importance and life and relates it only important in association with Frank Lloyd Wright. Whether I liked the character Mamah is a different story for I certainly do not agree with her choice of leaving her children and hurting so man

There were parts where I hated both the characters and found them selfish pricks and there were parts I identified with Maemah wholeheartedly. There is no right answer when it comes to leaving a bad situation but dressing it up as leading an authentic life is nothing more than a fancy excuse. The writing is very good in the book however and though it is not something I would normally pick up, I really enjoyed it.

Reading for f2f book club. Loving this so much right now! FLW is so well known in this area yet I don't know much about him. This has really made me what to read more of his history.
