OK, everyone I know or am in contact with on Goodreads seems to have loved this book. 5-star and 4-star reviews abound, as do exclamations of "awesome!" and "so much fun!" Heck, Wil Wheaton does the audio version, and if that isn't the desired geek-cred to end all geek-creds... But I segue.

Listened to audio as re-read. Even better the second time around!
Extremely entertaining trip through computer and video game history as well as some classic science fiction. The plot was fairly mundane, but the picture of a future reality where everyone spent a great deal of time logged into a Second Life like virtual reality was fun and sufficiently detailed to carry the novel. The reader for the unabridged audiobook did an excellent job narrating the story, handling the detailed descriptions of video game play, and recitations of the scoreboard in ways that

Whoa, I can add more than one edition. I've finally figured out how to do this, without help or anything. Yay me! This is here because I want credit for reading this book again (for the fourth time) and my whole reading goal is always messed up because I do silly things like read the same book four times.
