This was such a great surprise, a rare gem from 1917. Considering the time this book was written it must have been so progressive.
52 Week Reading Challenge: a book recommended by a stranger
This was a book recommendation that came from a FB group. I had never heard of Christopher Morley but the description won me over.
The book is about a traveling book wagon called Parnassus and its owner. But, really, this book is a tribute to books and those that love books. Parnassus was written in 1917 so it is a product of its time where Helen is concerned but don’t let that turn you away.

What a wonderful story about a travelling bookseller, a house bound woman turned traveler and uncanny events of a few days. Good characters, fun story and interesting writing this novella is a like a good piece of chocolate melting on your tongue.
