Decent. I enjoyed it for the most part. I thought the author tended to lean towards being OTT every so often. But not bad enough to ruin the book for me. Unfortunately I stumbled across some spoilers from the last book of this series and it sort of turned me off from continuing to book 2. So, yeah. I was totally not expecting this to (view spoiler) and I really wish it hadn't. I should've known not to expect something more original, but with all the rave reviews about this book I thought it would be. This was interesting, a YA superhero/dystopian world that I enjoyed but felt a little wanting. Maybe my expectations were too high? I’ll give the series another go to see if it grows on me.
