I'm a little embarrassed to say that I hadn't read this book before. I'm not sure, though, that I would have really appreciated it before now.
I loved seeing the world through Scout's eyes. I loved how Atticus parented. I loved the small details of life in the south in the 1930s. I loved the language.

This fiction story has all of the components: a meaningful theme; a developed plot; a perfectly painted scene; and characters that grow as you read. I can't imagine a more perfect book than this one. I know it seems cliche to enjoy this book so much, but there is no denying. You finish reading it and Scout, Atticus, Boo all become part of your life. You remember them. I know I still do.
