This is one of my favorite books of all time. It made me want to be a lawyer, and it still reminds me of why I chose law school. Atticus will always be one of my heroes.
Every time the name of this book came up, I would wrinkle my nose and shake my head "no" in response to the question "Have you read it?". It's amazing how false perceptions about things can keep something that really is good out of your life.

A young girl, Scout, relates impressions of her lawyer father, Atticus Finch, when he defends a black man accused of raping a white woman in 1930s Alabama.
