I read this book in high school, remembered really liking it and vaguely what it was about but...oh man. Obviously a classic for a reason...amazingly well written, and grabs you from the very first page. I totally cried at the end, even though I knew what was coming!
I keep going back and forth as to whether I've actually read this book or not! It is so often alluded to that I can't really remember. If I did read it, it may have been in a Reader's Digest Condensed Book shortly after it was published. I'm going to have to read it (again?) and see the film as well, which is another classic I haven't seen.
