The Perks of being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky. The picture that author Chbosky paints of the protagonist gives little to the imagination that he would be often overlooked. I enjoyed this book well enough, but the conceit of writing the book as "Dear Friend" letters to an anonymous reader didn't work for me. Instead, it felt like the author was just too lazy to write present-tense scenes or dialogue, so found a way to tell everything in past tense through the eyes of the semi-screwed up protagonist. Also, not to give away the ending, but I didn't like the great reveal and felt like the book would have worked better without giving some Big Reason why the protagonist
